PLEASE READ THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF USE CAREFULLY BEFORE USING THIS WEB SITE. Your use of buycheese.com is expressly conditioned on your acceptance without modification of the following terms and conditions (the “Terms and Conditions”). By using buycheese.com, you signify your acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.

les amis du FROMAGE, Limitee (“les amis du FROMAGE”) may, in its sole discretion and for any reason, modify, supplement or amend these Terms and Conditions without any notice or liability to you or any other person, by posting revised Terms and Conditions on the buycheese.com web site. Your continued use of the buycheese.com web site signifies your acceptance of such revised Terms and Conditions, so check back frequently to read the most recent version.

Shipping

  • Gift cards are shipped via Canada Post. There is a flat rate charge for this service.
  • Orders are shipped within two business days.
  • At this time we are only shipping gift cards to Canada and the USA
  • We will not guarantee delivery before December 25, 2017 for any orders placed on or after December 08, 2017

Refunds

We make every effort to sell you cheese in excellent condition. If there is a problem with your purchase, please let us know.

  • Receipt is required for all refunds and exchanges
  • All sale/marked down items and books are final sales
  • All special orders are final sales
  • Gift cards are not redeemable for cash. Lost or stolen gift cards cannot be reissued.

There are no refunds or exchanges on any food items unless the item is defective. Any claims must be made within 48 hours of purchase.

There are no refunds / exchanges on gift baskets or gift basket items

Full refunds / Exchanges on non-food products will be honored if the product is unopened, unused, and in it’s original packaging. Refunds and exchanges must be within 30 days of original purchase.

We do not offer refunds or exchanges on any food items because

  • You do not like the item
  • You have purchased more food than you required

Refunds will be issued in the same tender used for purchase.

All event ticket sales are final. We are unable to offer refunds or credits for tastings. Should something come-up that would prevent you or your guest from attending the event, you are welcome to transfer the spot(s) to another person. If this does occur, please email us in advance with the name(s) of who will be attending in your place.

Holiday Return Policy

Receipt is required for all refunds and exchanges. Full refunds will be honoured if unopened, unused, and original packaging is still in tact. Refunds must be within 30 days of original purchase

Items cannot be put on hold without full payment between December 01 to December 31.

No refunds or exchanges on any food items because:

  • You do not like the item
  • You have purchased more food than you required

Event Ticket Sales

All ticket sales are final. We are unable to offer refunds or credits for tastings. In the event that you or your guest cannot attend the event, you are welcome to transfer the spot(s) to another person. If this does occur, please email us in advance with the name(s) of who will be attending in your place.

Ticket Sales

·    All tickets are sold on a first come first served basis

·    Pre-registration is required and space is limited to 30 people per session

·    Tickets are only available for purchase online. Tickets will not be mailed. Your receipt is your ticket

·    We do not accept ticket orders via email or by telephone or in store.

Refunds

Just like tickets to events such as hockey games, music concerts and other entertainment style events, les amis du FROMAGE tickets are non-refundable after purchase and may not be transferred to another event. Tickets however are transferrable to a 3rd party and may be used by someone else, so you may sell or give away your tickets for an event if you are not able to make it. In the event that you or your guest cannot attend the event, you are welcome to transfer the spot(s) to another person. If this does occur, please email us in advance with the name(s) of who will be attending in your place.

Cancellation

Events are generally held rain or shine. In the rare situation where we cancel an event that fails to attract minimum enrollment, we will contact you ahead of time to reschedule your tickets or issue a full refund, whichever you prefer. We reserve the right to limit the number of participants and to cancel an event that fails to attract minimum enrollment. We recognize it is difficult to plan and purchase tickets many months out, which is generally the case with our events due to popularity. We also realize that this provides you the opportunity to plan around the event and make it your top priority.

·    Tastings begin sharply at the scheduled start time.

·    All tastings will be taught in our store by Allison Spurrell.

·    A 10% discount will be offered on all store purchases during the event

·    We ask that you please refrain from wearing strong cologne or perfume at our tastings.

·    Alcohol will be served.  Please don’t drink and drive.

·    You must be 19 years of age to attend.  Proof of age may be require.

Platters

  • All cheese platters on a returnable platter will require a credit card number as an equipment deposit before your order is prepared. Please call us to provide your credit card number.

  • We require a minimum of 48 hours to process your order, prepare it, and have it ready for pick up.
  • If your order is required in less than our minimum of 48 hours, please visit or call the store at which you would like to pick up your order. Kitsilano 604-732-4218 / Eastvan 604-253-4218
  • We require 24 hours notice for cancellation of platter orders
  • Platters, baskets and knives will be loaned to you at no additional charge. All that is required is a valid credit card number for deposit on all equipment loans.  Because there is no charge for this service, all that we ask is that you return your equipment loans to us in acceptable condition the day following your function.
  • Cheese knives are only provided upon request
  • Please Note: Due to the high demand for reusable platters, If any equipment is not returned to les amis du FROMAGE in acceptable condition within seven days after your event, the replacement cost will be charged to your credit card without notice.
  • Actual platter may be different than image shown on website

By completing and submitting the electronic order form (or proceeding through the ‘checkout process’) you are making an offer to purchase goods which, if accepted by us, will result in a binding contract. Neither submitting an electronic order form or completing the checkout process constitutes our acceptance of your order.
